27th of February – 17th of March – Dapaong
During my mission for Yanfouom, I worked on computing, management and English with directors, secretaries, teachers, English inspector and students.
I helped secretaries to automate school reports and accounts. I exchanged views with English inspector of Savannah area from supports given by English consul. I inspected English lessons and I talked with English teachers and the inspector about another way to learn English. Finally, I gave some computing and English lessons and oversaw an exam.
Besides, during the cultural week, at the end of my stay, I was honoured to lead a conference about environment and urban planning, the heart of my job. I could make the school aware of how to protect the environment and how to plan a city.
The time was running out in Yanfouom and I was very proud to contribute to the education for everyone. I am really convinced that the school is essential for the development of a country and it was a wonderful experience to watch living this African school and to take part in the road drawn by a woman of character and a big-hearted woman, Martine Sinandja, the director of the school.
