The charity: Emmaüs Connect 
Since 2013, Emmaüs Connect has been helping people in digital poverty. Emmaüs Connect offers telephone and internet top-ups and digital equipment at lower prices, support in basic digital skills and mediation with telephone operators throughout France. More than 105,000 people have been assisted as of today. 

The project: LaCollecte.tech

In November 2020, Emmaüs Connect launched “LaCollecte.tech” solidarity-based recycling channel to collect donations of used equipment from companies. The platform brings together companies, refurbishers and social structures in order to facilitate and massively increase the donation of digital equipment from companies, create jobs and distribute the devices (PCs, tablets, cell phones) to people in need at lower prices. 

Expected outcome: 
In 2022, Emmaüs Connect aims to collect up to 5,000 devices and provide to 1,200 persons in difficult situations. The devices that cannot be reused will be sent to a partner eco-organization. Once the network is dynamic and autonomous, the charity hopes to provide 1,500 persons in 2023 and 2,000 in 2024.

In addition to this, Emmaüs Connect is committed to supporting 100% of these beneficiaries towards digital trainings and social inclusion.
