In the face of the COVID-19 crisis, the Banque Alimentaire (food bank) of Toulouse and its region has increased its weekly distribution volumeby more than 70% and the number of beneficiaries by more than 60%.Additionally, thanks to more than 50 new volunteers, the organization has integrated more than 20 new structures to its network as part of a new "COVID Emergency" agreement. For the first time, the Toulouse food bank has also partnered with local institutions to organize emergency distributions. These are delivered twice a week for 700 people staying in hotels; once a week for 900 people living in squats; and weekly for 1,500 students on six Toulouse unviersity campuses.
The Banque Alimentaire of Toulouse and its region were supported, in part, by the Artelia Foundation's Emergency Fund in order to fulfill COVID-related expenses.

The Banque Alimentaire (food bank) of Toulouse and its region provides food and sanitary products to more than 95 partner organizations that serve more than 12,000 people every week in Toulouse, Haute-Garonne, Ariège and Tarn-et-Garonne. The organization distributes more than 2,700 metric tons of products per year thanks to its 80 volunteers, 20 employees (including 15 social inclusion contracts) and 5 civic service interns. The BA Toulouse is a branch of the national Banque Alimentaire network. Throught its work in the greater Toulouse region, BA Toulouse acts as a leader for its cricle of organizational and donor partners, and promotes its work in institutions, schools, and to individuals.
