Aid for flood victims in Vietnam

Between November and December 2025, Vietnam was hit by a series of storms and floods of exceptional intensity. In Khánh Hòa province, flooding and landslides caused significant damage to infrastructure, cut off several communities and disrupted access to drinking water, healthcare and essential services.

The Artelia Foundation has drawn on its emergency fund to support Action Education’s relief efforts for the affected communities. Working in coordination with local authorities and community organisations, the charity has launched a response aimed at meeting the immediate needs of affected households whilst supporting their longer-term recovery.

The initiative involved the distribution of emergency kits containing food and essential items to help families cope with the immediate consequences of the floods. At the same time, support measures were put in place, notably through the provision of agricultural equipment, inputs and resources designed to revive local economic activity.

The organisation also carried out training and awareness-raising activities to build communities’ capacity in the areas of risk prevention, disaster management and preparedness for future climate-related events. This approach aims to sustainably strengthen communities’ resilience in the face of increasingly frequent and intense natural hazards.
