Aid for victims of the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon

From March 2026 onwards, the escalation of the conflict in Lebanon led to large-scale population displacement and exacerbated humanitarian needs in many parts of the country. Essential infrastructure came under strain, and access to safe drinking water, sanitation and basic services deteriorated significantly in several areas hosting displaced populations.

In response to this situation, the Artelia Foundation has drawn on its emergency fund to support the work of Solidarités International, an NGO that has been operating in Lebanon since 2013 and is particularly active in areas that are difficult to access and underserved.

The organisation has launched an emergency response to assist displaced people and host communities by refurbishing accommodation centres and reception facilities, as well as distributing food parcels, hygiene products and other essential items to meet the immediate needs of affected families.

The Artelia Foundation has specifically supported initiatives in the areas of water, hygiene and sanitation. Solidarités International’s teams are working to rehabilitate water networks, improve sanitation facilities and raise awareness amongst local populations about good hygiene practices in order to minimise health risks in a crisis context.

Beyond the immediate emergency, the organisation also helps communities to build their resilience through livelihood support programmes, focusing in particular on promoting food security and reviving the economic activities of the most vulnerable households.
