An energy house for a rural village in Madagascar

Contributing my engineering knowledge to the construction of the GRET ‘Maison de l’Energie’ (energy house) in Madagascar was an enriching experience. All the more so as I come from an isolated village without electricity myself. This assignment also allowed me to rediscover green building techniques thanks to the use of unfired earth blocks and wooden frames. (Nary Solofomandimby Rasoanaivo, Artelia Madagascar).
