👍 Our two jury’s boosts :
AZACAE
The AZACAE project received our Coup de Pouce award for its initiative to improve the health and social development of families in Andahuaylas, a village in Peru, through a social and center. The project, run by medical students from the Université de Médecine de Nantes, has three main focuses:
-
Construction: improved kitchens, renovated roofs, dry toilets.
-
Prevention: Oral hygiene workshops.
-
Donations: Mattresses for families, fruit trees for the school.
Locally, in favour of the Peruvian economy, with the buildings constructed by local craftsmen. A great project for improving living conditions in partnership with local communities!
Malaïka SSC ASBL
The project run by Malaïka SSC ASBL will also receive a Coup de Pouce prize of €2,000. This project takes place in Uganda to support 25 children from disadvantaged backgrounds by offering them a quality education, access to healthcare and stable accommodation in a boarding school.
The project, run by six students from the University of Liège, enables these children to get off the streets and access educational and psychological support, while promoting their empowerment through training and educational activities. The aim of the project this year is to evaluate the facilities and activities on the ground, previously supported by the NGO, in order to assess their current impact. This evaluation work will highlight the improvements that need to be made to optimise the effectiveness of the actions on the ground.
A project that focuses on measuring impact and optimising existing initiatives, to the benefit of local communities!
