Helping to improve the living conditions of children in Kathmandu
Several projects have been completed with the Artelia Foundation since 2012 to improve the amenities at the Children’s School. In 2023, the project involved renovating one of the buildings at the orphanage, enabling it to accommodate more children and continue educating the young boys at the centre.
Two Artelia volunteers carried out a feasibility study and a budgetary study for the renovation of a building within the orphanage in Kathmandu. Various meetings were held with the staff, a local architect and craftsmen to define the plans, needs and constraints of the project.
Each day was a new adventure that brought with it emotions, laughter and fun. It gave me the chance to share unique moments with the local population and to see how they live and think. I am very glad and grateful to have had the opportunity to take part in such an amazing assignment with Namasté la Maison des Enfants. I hope that I have returned all of the gratitude, love and attention I myself received.
