Improving access to water and sanitation in the province of Jerada
To bring about a sustainable improvement in access to water, sanitation and hygiene in the target areas of Jerada Province, Morocco, with a view to improving people’s living conditions and promoting more sustainable water resource management.
Two Artelia staff members travelled to Jerada to support local stakeholders in the planning, costing and design of sanitation solutions. Working alongside local elected representatives and partners, they carried out studies on the extension of the sanitation network in several neighbourhoods and on the feasibility of reusing treated wastewater for agricultural irrigation, thereby helping to identify sustainable solutions tailored to local needs.
The first two days were particularly memorable. The warm welcome, the discussions and the collaboration with local stakeholders were very rewarding.
