Installation of and training in photovoltaic systems at an engineering college

Support for the Smart EISAM project in Cameroon, which aims to deploy an educational solar power plant integrated into a smart grid at an engineering college, in order to train students in renewable energy, enhance the institution’s energy self-sufficiency and raise awareness amongst the local community about the challenges of the energy transition.
Two Artelia staff members travelled to Douala to support the implementation of the Smart EISAM project. They drew on their expertise in the design, sizing and installation of photovoltaic equipment and the smart grid, whilst training local teams and students in their operation and maintenance. Their involvement contributed to the transfer of technical skills and the development of educational tools designed to raise awareness amongst future engineers of the challenges facing the renewable energy sector.

"This mission allowed me to dive into the world of education! I really enjoyed meeting the students at Eisam and introducing them to the world of energy and renewables. Their curiosity and commitment throughout the week were a true source of inspiration. I sincerely wish them success in the exams they are preparing for."

"As part of the Artelia Foundation, I had the privilege of leading, alongside Guillaume, a week of training at Eisam. I was able to share with the CPGE students my work as an engineer specializing in photovoltaics and battery storage. It was a rich and stimulating experience with motivated, dynamic, and curious students. A real pleasure to contribute, in my own way, to broadening their horizons in the field of engineering."
