Maintenance of the La Maison du répit buildings
Improving the conditions of care and support for family carers and vulnerable individuals in respite care homes, by ensuring that the facilities are safe, functional and tailored to their needs.
Carrying out an audit of the respite care centre’s technical installations to identify maintenance issues and propose practical solutions that ensure safety, the quality of care and the long-term viability of the equipment.
Taking part in a skills-based sponsorship scheme with the Artelia Foundation at the Maison du Répit was an enriching experience, both on a personal and technical level. By carrying out an electrical audit, I was able to analyse the faults and propose practical solutions.
My first visit enabled me to assess the scale of the problems by examining the main components of the electrical distribution system.
During the second visit, we brought together other key stakeholders, notably the inspection body and the contractor. This collaboration resulted in an audit report, offering users practical solutions to rectify the faults identified.
The warm welcome and commitment shown by all those involved contributed significantly to the success of this project.
