Restoration of the Ampakahabe and Tsimkoura mangroves

The project, led by the French committee of the IUCN in conjunction with the Mangrove Environnement organisation and the Tsaratanana organisation, aims to restore two 15-hectare sites where mangroves have been severely damaged, leading to erosion of the coastline. This phenomenon is putting villages in Madagascar and Mayotte at risk. The project is developing sustainable management of the two sites by involving the local population.
