Sustainable access to water for schoolchildren in Santa Cruz
Improving learning conditions and the health of pupils at a state school in Santa Cruz, in the Philippines, through a health and medical project involving the refurbishment of facilities, improved access to water and the provision of facilities to support the children’s wellbeing.
Two Artelia staff members travelled to Santa Cruz to support the implementation of a project to provide sustainable access to water at the school. They drew on their expertise to survey the site, drill a well, analyse the drainage of the existing infrastructure and connect the new facility to the water supply network. This project will help to bring about a lasting improvement in the living and learning conditions of nearly 1,000 pupils, whilst benefiting the wider local community.
