Towards sustainable waste management
Assessment and strengthening of waste management in four municipalities in Togo.
This initiative aims to sustainably improve waste management while actively involving local authorities in defining and implementing appropriate solutions.
Two Artelia volunteers supported the preliminary studies for waste management. They conducted an environmental and social impact assessment for the creation of a faecal sludge treatment site and a controlled landfill.
I had the opportunity to support the association SEVES on issues related to waste management in four municipalities in Togo. It was a rewarding experience: the municipalities actively participated in the discussions, and it was very insightful to visit the field, understand the specificities of each municipality, and try to propose appropriate and harmonized solutions.
I’m grateful to have contributed to this initiative and I hope my input will be useful to them.
