Improving living conditions at the Bafang home
Solar electrification of the facilities at the children’s home.
Study and sizing of the photovoltaic equipment, and supervision of the installation works.
This assignment was an adventure from start to finish, and I will always remember the solidarity, generosity and solid commitment of the people who contributed to completing this project. This was my second experience of volunteering with the Artelia Foundation, and it was rewarding both personally and professionally. Although the study itself and the discussions with the electrical equipment installer and with the Nkwe’ni organisation were all carried out remotely, the welcome we received on-site was warm and friendly. We achieved our objective: the electrical installation powered by the photovoltaic panels means that the children can attend tutoring classes even if there is a mains power cut. I am extremely grateful to the Artelia Foundation and the Nkwe’ni/Poo Nkwe’ni organisation for placing their trust in us, to the children at Poo Nkwe’ni for the good times we shared and the fun we had, and to Legrand and Méditec for their professionalism.
